The house was built with a post and beam construction and no settling or cracking has occurred- which is pretty amazing. The skylights in the original cabin and the addition have developed some leaks, which were sealed and haven't leaked since the repair, but they need more work. The solar collector is intact, the wiring is intact, and it needs battery maintenance/replacement (don't know which) and a new controller. The cistern is gravity fed and we're not sure what it needs. The propane tank was removed when the owners vacated several years ago, but could be replaced. There is a cesspool for the septic system, but should be upgraded if you intend to occupy as a primary residence. Owners lived in this home for 12 years, full-time, so it is live-able. It will take some effort, and some money, but the cabin could be made live-able....or leave it as-is and build another home on the lot.
